Painter Prepper

Location: Elland, Halifax

Terberg DTS UK are looking for a Painter Prepper to be based at our Elland site.

What is the job role?

To prepare large and small specialist vehicles and ad hoc equipment within our paintshop. From preparation, filler work, masking and paint spraying to a very high standard.

Requirements and what we are looking for

  • Vehicle preparation, filler work.
  • Masking up vehicles ready for paint.
  • De-masking vehicles after paint.
  • Removing signwriting and decals using a heat gun.
  • Ensuring the work area is kept clean, tidy and safe.
  • Updating job cards for each vehicle to ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Cooperating and assist colleagues wherever possible to maintain working standards.
  • Work in line with H&S requirements at all times. 
  • Managing all paint shop waste in line with current Company protocols & legal requirements.
  • To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented.
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.
  • Good knowledge of painting techniques. 
  • Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for improving efficiency or customer experience.
  • High attention to detail.
