Mobile Service Engineer (Semi-skilled)

Location: Elland/Field based

Terberg DTS UK is looking for a Semi-skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join our growing Field engineer team.

What is the job role?

To perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections (VOSA standards) and subsequent repairs to one or more types of Distribution Tractors and other vehicles/equipment. To perform visual or operational checks and carry out repairs as required. The candidate will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair. To observe all Health & Safety requirements at all times. The candidate will also be required to carry out planned mobile repair work and attend breakdowns as part of the Field Service Team as needed.

Requirements and what we are looking for

• To display the highest standards of; appearance, manner and technical ability at all times.
• To accurately and quickly fault diagnose and undertake resultant repairs. To include working on a range of makes and models.
• To able to undertake vehicle servicing, repair and other related work.
• To complete all vehicle servicing and repair documentation correctly, in a timely manner and to a good standard.
• To be willing to assist colleagues in the execution of their jobs as required.
• There will be an element of manual handling involved.
• To work as an effective member of the Service Department.
• To work with all departments, particularly with projects that are being explored or implemented.
• Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.

• To maintain and develop current processes and procedures in the upkeep of the internal documentation.
• City and Guilds – Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems – Maintenance and Repair Qualification or equivalent qualification.
• UK valid driving licence including vehicles up to 750kg (C1 / C class)
